Syngenta debuts Rynaxypyr combos in Italy
Syngenta has debuted two combination insecticides based on DuPont’s chlorantraniliprole (trade-marked as Rynaxypyr) in Italy. Voliam Targo (chlorantraniliprole 45 g/litre + abamectin 18 g/litre) is a suspension concentrate formulation for the control of codling moths ( Cydia spp) and pear psyllids ( Psylla pyricola) on pome fruit, tomato leaf miners ( Tuta absoluta) and other lepidopteran pests on vegetables, and red-spotted spider mites ( Tetranychus urticae) on nectarines and peaches. It was approved late last year ( Agrow No 630, p 22). Luzindo (chlorantraniliprole 20% + thiamethoxam 20%) is a water-dispersible granule formulation for the control of lepidopteran and sucking pests for use on grapevines and stone fruit. Luzindo was also registered late last year. Syngenta has a global licence from DuPont to use chlorantraniliprole in combination products ( Agrow No 491, p 1).
