Wynca agchem sales up as profit plummets
Chinese company Zhejiang Wynca chemical saw a return to growth in its agrochemical division in 2011, with sales increasing by 14.4% to Yuan 2,142.9 million ($338.9 million at the current rate). Agrochemical sales had fallen consecutively in the previous two years ( Agrow No 616, p 6). Operating costs for agrochemicals rose by 15.4% last year, lowering the profit margin by 0.8 percentage points. Agrochemicals accounted for 44.2% of Wynca’s total sales.
