Bayer confirms US penflufen approvals

Bayer CropScience has confirmed the US approval of its new fungicide, penflufen (trade-marked as EverGol), and its launch plans for 2013. The company will launch the potato seed piece treatment, Emesto Silver (penflufen + prothioconazole), and the seed treatments, EverGol Prime (penflufen 241 g/litre), for cotton, EverGol Energy (penflufen + prothioconazole + metalaxyl), for wheat, and Prosper EverGol (penflufen + trifloxystrobin + metalaxyl + clothianidin), for canola. The EPA proposed the approval of a number of penflufen combinations in March ( Agrow No 637, p 19).
