Italy grants 120-day Flint Max approval
Italy has granted 120-day commercial approval for Bayer CropScience’s broad-spectrum systemic fungicide, Flint Max (trifloxystrobin 25%+ tebuconazole 50%). It is a water-dispersible granule formulation to control anthracnose ( Colletotrichum gloeosporioides) on olives. The authorisation runs until September 18th. The combination fungicide was approved in Brazil in 2005 for use on several crops including cereals, potatoes and soybeans ( Agrow No 472, p 22). It was recently launched as Flint Max in Portugal for use on grapevines ( Agrow No 639, p 24). Tebuconazole is available in other formulations and as a single active ingredient in Italy.
