China issues more agchem company OKs
China has issued another batch of licences for companies to engage in the manufacture of agrochemicals. This is the third list of approvals to be issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) in 2012, and contains three company licences. The preliminary list was released with a public notice period of one week at the end of May. The first two approvals were for: Anqing Boyuan Biochemistry Science & Technology to operate a 1,000 tonnes/year facility for the insecticide formulation, 2.5% lambda-cyhalothrin aqueous emulsion; and Jiangsu Huifeng Technologyfor a 200 tonnes/year production plant for the fungicide, azoxystrobin. The final approval went to Nantong Gongcheng Fine Chemical for two insecticide/acaricide manufacturing plants: a 50 tonnes/year fenpyroximate facility, and a 50 tonnes/year permethrin plant. The MIIT's previous list, issued in March this year, also contained three company licences ( Agrow No 636, p 18).
