BASF launches Bellis in Spain
BASF has launched the broad-spectrum fungicide, Bellis (boscalid 25.2% + pyraclostrobin 12.8%), in Spain for use on apples and pears. Bellis is a water-dispersible granule formulation . It is recommended for use at 0.8 kg/ha for the control of various diseases including Botrytis spp, Monilia spp, Alternaria mali and Podosphaera leucotricha. BASF had already debuted another product, Signum, based on a different formulation of the same active ingredients in Spain for use on potatoes, strawberries, lettuces, tomatoes and peppers ( Agrow No 532, p 21). The Spanish launch came shortly after that of three other BASF pesticide products earlier this year ( Agrow No 636, p 21).
