China issues more pesticide company licences
China has issued another seven licences for companies to engage in the manufacture of agrochemicals. This batch of approvals is the fourth such list to be issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's Department of Raw Materials this year. Three licenses involve the production of pesticide technical material, namely: Anhui Fengle Agrochemical, to operate a 300 tonnes/year facility for the herbicide, tribenuron methyl; Suzhou Youhe Science and Technology for a 6,000 tonnes/year production plant for synthetic camphor; and Chongqing Unisplendour Chemical, for a 100 tonnes/year production facility for the fungicide, azoxystrobin. The preliminary list was released with a public notice period of one week at the end of July. The MIIT's previous list, issued in June this year, contained three company licences ( Agrow No 643, p 17).
