Fungicides widely used on US fruit

More than 80% of US apple, blueberry and peach crops were treated with fungicides in 2011, according to the latest survey data from the USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service. They were the most widely planted of the 23 fruit crops surveyed in 12 states. Apples were grown in seven states, representing 82% of the US acreage, blueberries in six states (82%) and peaches in seven states (81%).
