US EPA settles agchem law violations
The US EPA has reached settlements with three Missouri-based companies over pesticide registration violations in recent months. AgXplore International (Parma) agreed to pay $237,573 over 212 counts of selling or distributing 19 unregistered pesticide products between May 2009 and March 2012. Mayberry Seed Co (Essex) agreed to pay a $17,160 penalty over the sale or distribution of an unregistered plant growth regulator and fungicide on at least 14 occasions between April 2010 and August 2011. Southeast Cooperative Service Company (Advance) will pay a $12,000 penalty to resolve multiple sales of an unregistered plant growth regulator and fungicide in 2010.
