ECHA agrees label proposals for more ais

Proposals from EU member states for harmonised classification and labelling of four active ingredients have been accepted by the European Chemicals Agency’s (ECHA) Committee for Risk Assessment (RAC). The ais are: the fungicides, cymoxanil and penconazole; the insecticide, fenoxycarb; and the herbicide, tralkoxydim. All four have already been re-registered in the EU: fenoxycarb in 2011, cymoxanil and penconazole in 2009, and tralkoxydim in 2008 ( Agrow passim). The RAC’s opinion will now go forward to the European Commission for a final decision.
