Syngenta adds Plenus ST soybeans in Argentina
Syngenta has launched three versions of its treated Plenus soybean seed range in Argentina. They include the unnamed fungicide-protected “normal” seed, PlenusBase, and the unnamed combination fungicide/insecticide treated “premium” seed, reportedly containing three fungicides, and an insecticide, PlenusMax, both of which also contain a long-life inoculant from the company, Rizobacter. The third is PlenusFull, which contains the same as PlenusMax, as well as the company’s nematicide, Avicta (abamectin), for use in sub-tropical areas. Syngenta debuted its triple-protection soybean nematicidal seed treatment, Plenus Avicta, in Argentina two years ago ( Agrow No 604, p 22). It has since been launched in Paraguay, with further anticipated introductions in the short-term in Bolivia and Uruguay, the company says.
