Syngenta debuts Ampligo in Argentina
Syngenta has launched its combination insecticide, Ampligo (chlorantraniliprole 100 g/litre + lamba-cyhalothrin 50 g/litre), in Argentina. It is a mixed formulation of a suspension concentrate and encapsulated suspension foliar application insecticide for the control of velvetbean caterpillars ( Anticarsia gemmatalis) and sunflower loopers ( Rachiplusia nu) on soybeans, and diamondback moths ( Plutella xylostella) on oilseed rape. Ampligo 150 ZC made its international debut in November 2010 as a broad-spectrum foliar application for use on stone fruit in Chile ( Agrow No 604, p 21). The product is the result of a deal with DuPont granting Syngenta worldwide rights to develop combination products based on DuPont's chlorantraniliprole, trade-marked as Rynaxypyr ( Agrow No 491, p 1). Syngenta markets other Rynaxypyr combinations in Argentina.
