Plant Impact launches operations in Brazil

The UK plant health technology company, Plant Impact (PI - Preston, Lancashire), is launching operations in Brazil. The company has set up its subsidiary, Plant Impact Tecnologia em Nutrição (PI Brazil), in Sao Paulo, and intends to gain its own product registrations as part of a “full range of operations” in the country. Arysta LifeScience acquired a 9.1% stake in PI last year ( Agrow No 617, p 2). Half of the funds from the deal were to be channelled into Brazilian and US businesses. Arysta also agreed to commercially develop PI’s plant nutrient technologies in the US turf and ornamental and the Brazilian horticultural markets. The plant nutrition company has also developed the oil-based insecticide/acaricide, BugOil.
