FMC expands green agchem packs in Brazil
FMC has expanded the use of recycled material for its pesticide containers in Brazil. It has launched “Familia [Family] Green” products, employing ethanol produced from sugar cane. They include the already debuted JoinJug, which FMC describes as “self-stackable” packaging. The company aims to have 80% of its containers made from 100% recyclable materials next year. It has worked with “the environmentally-friendly Green Jug packaging”, which during manufacture releases 25% less carbon dioxide, and the recyclable container set, Ecoplastica Triex ( Agrow No 631, p 14). It already has the highest proportion of recyclable material, reports note.
