ISK's agchem sales down in Q1
Ishihara Sangyo Kaisha recorded a decline in agrochemical sales for the three months ended June 30th 2012. Sales of the company’s organic chemicals division were ¥13,123 million ($165 million at the current exchange rate), down 7.2% on the same period in the previous year. Interim agrochemical sales are not available, but in the year to March 31st 2012, agrochemicals accounted for over 98% of divisional sales, which also include pharmaceutical ingredients. First-quarter divisional profit slumped by 76.6% to ¥47 million ($590,000).
