Brazil enlists North American help on minor-crop agchems
Brazilian, Canadian and US agencies have signed a “memorandum of understanding” to co-operate on pesticide use on minor crops. The agreement was reached at the second Brazilian meeting on minor-crop pesticide use, “II Encontrol sobre CSFI”. It included Brazilian regulators and representatives from the US IR-4 Project and the Canadian government’s Pest Management Centre. The application has been presented under the country’s new minor-crop pesticide registration drive, applications for which started in November last year ( Agrow No 630, p 15).
