Shenzhen Noposion up 17% in third quarter
Chinese company Shenzhen Noposion Agrochemicals recorded a 16.5% increase in agrochemical sales to Yuan 299.9 million ($47.7 million at the current rate) during the third quarter of 2012. The company made an operating profit of Yuan 18 million ($2.9 million) during the three-month period, recovering from an operating loss of Yuan 5.6 million in the same period last year. During the first nine months, Shenhen Noposion saw sales remain about level with last year, slipping by a fraction (0.2%) to Yuan 1,415 .9 million ($225 million). The company came fifth in this year’s China Crop Protection Industry Association’s ranking of the top 100 agrochemical companies in China, with annual sales of Yuan 1,434 million ($227.9 million) in 2011 ( Agrow No 651, p 17).
