US dinotefuran exemptions for stink bugs

The US EPA has established a temporary tolerance for Mitsui Chemical’s insecticide, dinotefuran, on pome and stone fruit until December 31st 2015. It is associated with emergency exemption requests in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia for the control of brown marmorated stink bugs ( Halyomorpha halys). Emergency exemptions for dinotefuran were granted in the seven states last year ( Agrow No 620, p 13).
