Rallis up 11% in Q2
Rallis India recorded a sales increase of 11.2% to Rs 4,806.2 million ($87.6 million at the current rate) in its second quarter ended September 30th 2012. That was despite a delayed and deficient monsoon rainfall, the company says. Net profit was up by a more modest 5.2% to Rs 615.6 million ($11.2 million). Six-month revenues grew by 13.5% to Rs 8,216.3 million ($149.8 million), buoyed by the 16% rise in the first quarter ( Agrow No 645, p 9). Six-month net profit moved up by 5% to Rs 857.3 million ($15.6 million).
