EU mulls ai efficacy guidelines
Draft guidelines on new EU requirements for evaluating the efficacy of active ingredients are being discussed between the European Commission and member states. The aim is to resolve some of the uncertainties still surrounding the new requirements in the EU agrochemical registration Directive (1107/2009). But applicants will have to “consider carefully” the data they provide, says Ingrid den Hoed of the UK Chemicals Regulation Directorate. She was speaking at a conference in November to mark the tenth anniversary of the European Food Safety Agency.
