EFSA compiles database of all work on bees
The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) has compiled an inventory of all its risk assessment activities and scientific outputs related to bees and bee health. It will now carry out the same exercise for all bee-related risk assessments and research carried out by national, European and international bodies. The final database will be used to identify further data and research needs, and collaborative opportunities. Recommendations related to these needs are due to be published next year. The work is part of the ongoing EU programme to investigate the possible reasons for the decline in bee populations.
