Stähler to be renamed Cheminova Deutschland
Cheminova’s German subsidiary, Stähler (Stade), will be renamed Cheminova Deutschland from January 1st 2013. The renaming is part of the effort to integrate all activities of the former Stähler companies into the Cheminova group. Cheminova Deutschland will continue to be based in Stade in north Germany and headed by general manager Martin Petersen. Cheminova acquired a 50% stake in Stähler in 2008, bought an additional 25% in the following year, and the remaining stake last year ( Agrow No 619, p 4). Stähler sold its grapevine grafting subsidiary, Chauvin Agro (Sarrians) to Italian wax company Sintesi e Ricerca (Santena) earlier this month ( Agrow No 653, p 3).
