Canada OKs BASF's Priaxor DS
BASF has confirmed the first registration in Canada of a fungicide based on fluxapyroxad (trade-marked as Xemium). Priaxor DS (fluxapyroxad 250 g/litre + pyraclostrobin 250 g/litre) is approved for use on field peas, lentils and chickpeas. The Canadian Pest Management Regulatory Agency approved six fluxapyroxad-based fungicides for use on a range of fruit, vegetables, cereals and oilseed crops in September ( Agrow No 648, p 20). Products based on fluxapyroxad will be phased in as BASF addresses global maximum residue limits on other crops, the company points out.
