OHP debuts indaziflam on US ornamentals
The US horticultural pesticide company, OHP (Mainland, Pennsylvania), has introduced the herbicide, Marengo (Bayer CropScience’s indaziflam), for use on ornamentals. It offers long-term residual control of grasses and broadleaf weeds at 7.5-18.5 fl oz/acre (0.5-1.4 litres/ha), OHP points out. Bayer received its first global approval for indaziflam in the US in 2010, as Specticle, for use on turf ( Agrow No 599, p 20). It received US food-use approvals on stone, pome, citrus fruit and tree nuts and vines, as Alion, in 2011 ( Agrow No 615, p 28).
