Brazil to OK more aerial neonicotinoid applications

The Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture has proposed more flexible regulations governing the aerial application of the neonicotinoid insecticides, imidacloprid, thiamethoxam, clothianidin and fipronil, on cotton and soybeans. It follows heated debates in Parliament and farmer concerns over which applications were allowed and which were under a temporary ban. Rules on applications will allow a more flexible regime depending on the region in which applications are carried out.
