Paraguay nears generic agchem regn system
Paraguayan agrochemical registration authorities are to enact regulations on crop pesticide use as a precondition for implementing the country’s pesticide registration process under the UN FAO equivalence system. The national plant health and seed quality service, the Senave’s, technical evaluation committee has approved reference profiles, with which it will compare active ingredients for registration. It had approved over 50 pesticides including mixtures, covering 20 ais by mid-January 2013, and 19 reference profiles. That move conforms to Resolution 108/12, passed last year. Paraguay approved Resolution 446/06 in 2006 for the approval of generic pesticides via equivalence assessments.
