Brazil acephate review goes to public hearing
The Brazilian national health surveillance agency, the Anvisa, put its reassessment of the insecticide, acephate, and “proposed restrictions” on the active ingredient’s use to a public hearing at the end of January. It was among a list of several discussions planned for a four-hour meeting. Arysta LifeScience confirms that some use restrictions have been proposed. But no decision has been taken on the insecticide, and more meetings will take place, the company told Agrow.
