Slovenia on track on sustainable pesticide use
Slovenia has implemented a large majority of the requirements emanating from the sustainable use of pesticides Directive 128/2009, the European Commission’s Food and Veterinary Office (FVO) has found. The competent authority is “well organised”, and its staff “well trained”, while its authorisation system for pesticide products is of a “good” standard, the FVO adds. The Office has also found that detailed information on pesticide products has been made available online by the authority, which has also promoted IPM measures. It inspected Slovenia’s pesticide controls in October 2012.
