Monsanto acquires Rosetta Green activities
Monsanto has agreed to acquire the activities of Israeli agricultural biotechnology company Rosetta Green (Jerusalem) for $35 million. The deal includes terminating the contracts of Rosetta Green’s employees, the Nasdaq newswire reports. Rosetta Green develops improved traits such as stress tolerance and improved disease resistance, applying its proprietary microRNA genes. The deal is subject to regulatory approval, Monsanto says.
