ECHA consults on sulfoxaflor labels

The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) has opened a public consultation on proposed EU-wide classification and labelling for Dow AgroSciences’ new insecticide, sulfoxaflor. As part of its application for EU approval, Dow has submitted proposals for: acute toxicity; and hazardous to the aquatic environment. The ECHA is seeking comments by March 25th. Sulfoxaflor received its first approval in South Korea in 2011 ( Agrow No 629, p 25) and US approval was proposed last month for a wide range of crops ( Agrow No 656, p 18).
