ECHA launches labelling forum for REACH
The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) has launched a new internet-based forum to facilitate discussions and agreements on the classification and labelling of chemicals, including agrochemical intermediates. The aim is to bring together the different companies supporting a particular substance through the EU Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemicals (REACH) Regulation, so that they can agree on a common classification and labelling. The ECHA hopes that this will improve compliance with EU and international legislation in this area. In addition, it will also be beneficial for small- and medium-sized companies as they will be able to follow the classifications set by larger companies, the Agency adds.
