Herbicides boost China's 2012 agchem exports
China's agrochemical exports saw sustained growth in 2012, boosted by strong herbicide trade, reports the China Crop Protection Industry Association (CCPIA). The CCPIA's figures are based on data from China's General Administration of Customs. Twelve-month agrochemical exports were valued at $2,860 million, an increase of 18.2% over 2011. Volume exports were up 12.7% to 890,000 tonnes. In the first nine months of 2012, export values increased by 26.8% to $2,155 million, at an average export price of $3,136.4/tonne ( Agrow No 654, p 18).
