EFSA reviews MRLs for nine more ais
The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) has reviewed EU-wide maximum residue limits (MRLs) of a further nine active ingredients, and identified data gaps for eight of them. They are the fungicides, cyazofamid, fluoxastrobin and silthiofam, and the herbicides, imazosulfuron, metsulfuron-methyl, nicosulfuron, prosulfuron and sulfosulfuron. There are no risks to consumers, but failure to fill the data gaps could result in the relevant approvals being amended or withdrawn, the EFSA says. Only the fungicide, flurtamone, had sufficient data to confirm all its MRLs.
