MANA debuts five soybean herbicides
ChemChina subsidiary Makhteshim-Agan Industries’ US subsidiary, Makhteshim Agan of North America (MANA), has introduced five soybean herbicides based on established active ingredients. Outflank (flumioxazin 51%) and Tailwind (metolachlor 630 g/litre + metribuzin 150 g/litre) are for pre-emergence use, while Rumble (fomesafen 225 g/litre), Torment (fomesafen 240 g/litre + imazethapyr 60 g/litre) and Vise (metolachlor 534 g/litre + fomesafen 114 g/litre) are for pre- and post-emergence applications. Tailwind is also approved for use on potatoes, Vise for cotton and Outflank for a range of crops. MANA emphasises the herbicides’ activity against weeds that have developed resistance to glyphosate and other ais. They have “multiple modes of action plus residual activity in highly compatible formulations”, the company notes.
