Syngenta to drop Garst brand in US
Syngenta is to discontinue its Garst maize seed brand and sell its former Garst and Golden Harvest maize hybrids under a revised Golden Harvest brand in the US in 2014. The single brand for the Syngenta Seed Advisor dealer network will streamline logistics “from packaging and ordering through inventory and delivery”, the company points out. NK brand maize hybrids will continue to be sold through retailers. Syngenta’s soybeans will still be sold by Syngenta Seed Advisors and retailers under the NK brand. Syngenta Seed Advisors will continue to sell alfalfa, sugar beet, sunflower and wheat seed.
