China's agchem exports rise as imports drop in February
China’s pesticide trade in February this year saw a rise in exports as import volumes fell, reports the Chinese agricultural advisory service, the Cnagri. China imported some 5,459 tonnes of agrochemicals in February, a decline of 32.4% on the same period last year, and a 34.1% drop from January. Imports were dominated by non-retail packaged fungicides, and herbicides packaged for retail and non-retail. These three categories accounted for 74.2% of February’s imports. China imported a total 13,742 tonnes of pesticides over the first two months.
