Argentine agchem market falls in 2012/13
Sales of agrochemicals rose by 16% in Argentina in 2012 to $2,381 million, according to the national agrochemical industry association, the Casafe. It cites figures from the market research agency, Kleffmann Group. The increase came despite a fall of 5.6% in volume sales. A slight rise in prices was more than matched by a switch by Argentine farmers towards higher premium products. The increase followed growth of over 20% in the previous year ( Agrow No 643, p 16).
