Endocrine Disruptor Screening Program finally underway, faces congressional skepticism

EPA's program to identify chemicals that can disrupt the human endocrine system saw some major developments in 2009, with the agency issuing the first test orders for chemicals to be screened and revealing the tests methods that will be used. But some members of Congress are not satisfied with the Endocrine Disruptor Screening Program's (EDSP) progress and have expressed uncertainty about EPA's ability to fulfill its mandate.
