Chronic Hazard Advisory Panel on Phthalates: April 14-15

The Consumer Product Safety Commission will be holding the first meeting of the Chronic Hazard Advisory Panel on Phthalates on April 14 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on April 15 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The meeting will take place in the 4th Floor Hearing Room, Bethesda Towers, 4330 East West Highway, Bethesda, Md. The meeting will also be available live via webcast at www.cpsc.gov/webcast. CPSC says it appointed the panel "to study the effects on children's health of all phthalates and phthalate alternatives as used in children's toys and child care articles, pursuant to section 108 of the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008." Members of the public who wish to attend the meeting are asked to pre-register at www.cpsc.gov/cgibin/chap.aspx; registration is not required for the webcast.
