ITC staff holds first hearing in glyphosate anti-dumping case
Opponents of a petition asking for anti-dumping penalties to be imposed on U.S. importers of Chinese glyphosate told federal trade authorities last week that the petitioner, Iowa-based agrichemical company Albaugh, is merely suffering the economic consequences of bad business decisions and is also being used as a "stalking horse" by Monsanto, the world's leading glyphosate manufacturer, to gain a larger domestic market share.
