Chemicals in Our Lives: Science and Perceptions - June 3
The American Chemical Society's Science & the Congress Project and the Society for Risk Analysis are hosting a luncheon briefing June 3, from noon to 1:30 p.m., on "Chemicals in Our Lives: Science and Perceptions." The meeting will take place in room B-369 of the Rayburn House Office Building. According to the meeting announcement, a panel of three experts "will explore how the scientific community communicates information about the risks of the substances we encounter in daily life, how the public perceives these risks, the role played by the media, and implications for policy." The discussion will be moderated by Jack Fowle, deputy director of the Health Effects Division in EPA's Office of Pesticide Programs.
