Canada restricts rodenticides
Canada's Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) announced new safety requirements Nov. 1 for eight rodenticide active ingredients to protect children and domestic animals. The measures are similar to those imposed by EPA in 2008. As in the U.S., the requirements do not apply to products intended for field use. The PMRA action covers brodifacoum, bromadiolone, bromethalin, chlorphacinone, difethialone, diphacinone, warfarin and zinc phosphide.
