Editor's Note: In the May 20 edition, Pesticide & Chemical Policy incorrectly reported that during a May 19 American Bar Association teleconference, Richard Denison, senior scientist at Environmental Defense Fund, said EPA's proposal to regulate pesticides with nano ingredients as new has been pending at the Office of Management and Budget for 10 months. Denison was actually referring to EPA's policy proposal that would require, pursuant to FIFRA Section 6(a)(2), a pesticide registrant that is aware that a constituent of a registered pesticide product is a nanomaterial to submit the information to EPA. In addition, P&CP incorrectly reported that Denison said he'd heard rumors that upper management at EPA is worried certain pending nano-related rules would stigmatize nanomaterials. Denison actually said senior administration officials had this concern. He did not say EPA.
