Strong year end for Dow AgroSciences
Dow AgroSciences recorded “double-digit” agrochemical sales growth in the fourth quarter of 2009. That was partly due to a resumption of crop planting in Brazil after a pause in the prior quarter. The company points to increased sales of fungicides, and range and pasture herbicides in Latin America, along with stronger cereal herbicide sales in Europe and North America. Combined sales of new products based on the herbicides, pyroxsulam, penoxsulam and aminopyralid, and the insecticide, spinetoram, more than doubled over the same period last year.
