Brazilian agchem volume imports dip
Pesticide import volumes dipped in Brazil over the first five months of 2010 compared with the same period last year. The figures from the agrochemical trade association, the Sindag, show overall volumes were down by 2% at 61,386.6 tonnes. But the drop was entirely due to a crash in insecticide imports, Sindag data information chief Ivan Sampaio says. They fell by 40% to under 7,200 tonnes.
