Brazil agchem reviews cover half of market
Pesticides under a Ministry of Health reassessment programme in Brazil accounted for almost half of all agrochemical sales in the country in 2008, the national generic agrochemical industry association, the Aenda, says. The combined sales accounted for 48% of the market in value and 46% in volume terms. That included the herbicide, glyphosate, while the other 13 pesticides under the programme accounted for just over a tenth of the value and volume market, it adds. The Ministry’s national health surveillance agency, the Anvisa, is almost halfway through a reassessment programme covering 14 active ingredients ( Agrow passim).
