Isagro Q1 agchem sales rise 7%
Italian company Isagro (Milan) posted a rise of 6.5% in agrochemical sales from ongoing businesses to €33 million ($47.4 million at the current rate). Some €30 million ($43.1 million) of those sales were of proprietary products, an 11% rise on the same period last year. The company’s results compare like-for-like sales, taking out any comparison with the divested concerns of the past four months. Isagro sold several assets during the first quarter, including its 50% stake in the Brazilian joint venture, Sipcam Isagro Brasil (SIB - Agrow No 611, p 2). Agrochemical revenues including those assets totalled €45.4 million ($64.6 million) last year ( Agrow No 592, p 7).
