BASF registers flat Q2 sales
BASF’s agricultural solutions division recorded flat sales in the second quarter of 2011, dipping by 0.5% to €1,205 million ($1,704 million at the current rate). A volume increase of 6% was offset by a 6% negative currency effect, while prices remained stable. Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) inched up by 0.8% to €373 million ($527 million). EBIT was up by 3.4% to €331 million ($468 million).
