Europe boosts Chemtura second quarter
A recovery in European sales contributed to a 14.6% increase in revenues for Chemtura AgroSolutions to $110 million in the second quarter of 2011. Sales in Europe were up by 41% over the same period last year. The business also benefited from a continued good performance in North America, despite a wet start to the season. Chemtura saw “positive early season momentum” in Latin America, while it continued to work to strengthen its distribution channels in the Asia Pacific region, the company notes.
