Isagro agchem sales rise by 17% in Q1
Italian agrochemical company Isagro (Milan) posted a 16.8% rise in agrochemical sales to €39 million ($50.8 million at the current rate) in the first quarter of 2012. That included a 20% increase in sales of proprietary pesticides to €35.3 million ($45.9 million), while those of third-party products dipped by 7.5% to €3.7 million ($4.8 million). Total sales, including non-agrochemicals, rose by 14% to €42.7 million ($55.5 million) in the first quarter of 2012. That is on top of a rising first-quarter market last year but a flat final three months (Agrow No 637, p 5). Growth came thanks to strong trends in the Americas and Italy, Isagro says.
